Zoho Recruit alternatives for recruitment agencies

The budget all-in-one from the Zoho suite, priced from £20 a recruiter, with the contract desk in a separate product.

Why agencies look beyond Zoho Recruit

Depth, and the second product. The price is hard to argue with, but the contract desk means Workerly and Books as well, and reviewers' most common complaints are support and field customisation.

What its own users say they would change

  • 'Slow and inconsistent customer support' is the leading negative in Capterra's summary, and support is for paid users only.
  • 'Limited field customization and clarity' and a UI that 'can feel a bit clunky'; one reviewer found the AI scored the same CV differently on repeat.
  • Temp timesheets, invoicing and payroll export require the separate Workerly product; migration is excluded from Jumpstart and priced separately.

What to look for instead

  1. 1

The contract desk in the same system as the CRM.

  2. 2

An import you run yourself rather than a paid onboarding package with migration on top.

  3. 3

An agent built for recruitment rather than a suite assistant.

AI-native or bolted on

Where Zoho Recruit’s AI sits

Zia is Zoho's suite assistant, included on paid plans across dozens of products: matching, summaries, chatbots and assessments. Kit is built for one desk and goes further into it: the note taker, the daily brief, replies sorted by intent, the chase-up drafted from the thread, the fee set from signed terms, the contract desk to paid, inside four lanes of control.

Five alternatives to Zoho Recruit

Chosen for the gaps above. We are one of them.

Vayora

The AI-native CRM and ATS for recruitment agencies

More than Zoho costs, and for a reason: one desk for perm and contract to paid, an import you run yourself, and an agent built only for recruitment that ranks your own book with the evidence.

Questions

What is the best alternative to Zoho Recruit for a UK recruitment agency?
It depends on what you are leaving for. The contract desk in the same system as the CRM. An import you run yourself rather than a paid onboarding package with migration on top. An agent built for recruitment rather than a suite assistant. The five below each suit a different desk, and Zoho Recruit itself remains right for some.
Does leaving Zoho Recruit mean losing contract pay and bill?
What Zoho Recruit offers: temp timesheets, client approval, invoicing and payroll export run in Zoho Workerly, a separate product, with invoices through Zoho Books; placement invoicing from job openings through Zoho Books and Invoice since July 2026; margin and self-billing not described. Vayora runs the contract desk natively, so the money moves with you.
How long does switching from Zoho Recruit take?
On Zoho Recruit's side, its own guidance: paid Jumpstart packages of 20, 30 or 40 hours at £800, £1,600 and £2,400; 'Data migration is not part of the Jumpstart plans' and is priced separately; 15-day trial. On ours, an import rather than a project.
30 DAYS OF PRO. NO CARD.
