What Claude and ChatGPT can do in your Vayora account
Vayora is an MCP server with 54 tools. Connect Claude or ChatGPT and ask your own database questions, or have the assistant file a note, set up a role or draft a sequence, as you, with your permissions.

What the MCP server is
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard way an AI assistant is given tools. Vayora runs an MCP server at https://api.vayora.co/mcp. Once an assistant is connected, it can call 54 named tools against your workspace: searching candidates, matching them to a role, reading a client brief, listing what is on your desk, and so on. The assistant decides which tool a question needs. You see the answer in the chat you were already using.
Every call runs as the person who connected, inside their own workspace, and respects their role. A record from another workspace reads as not found. The tools are deliberately few and narrow: they read, they add, and where something is sent or moved the tool says so.
How to connect
- 1. Open Connected apps. In Vayora, go to Settings, then Connected apps. The card for Claude and ChatGPT shows the server address and the steps.
- 2. Add the connector. In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector with the address https://api.vayora.co/mcp. The assistant registers itself with Vayora automatically, using OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE, so there is no token to copy.
- 3. Sign in and approve. Vayora shows its own sign-in and consent screen. It lists what the assistant will be able to do: read your roles, candidates, clients, deals and pipeline, and see your tasks and reporting. Below that is one box, Allow changes. Leave it off and the connection is read-only.
- 4. Disconnect any time. The same Connected apps screen lists the connection and revokes it. Claude Code uses an API token from that screen instead, which is read-only unless Allow changes is chosen when it is made.
Read and write
35 of the tools are reads and 19 are writes. A write tool needs the Allow changes box. The box is the only thing that grants it: an assistant cannot ask for write access in its own request. Writes add notes, tasks, candidates, clients and roles, move a candidate between stages, submit a candidate to a client, draft emails and sequences, and run contact lookups. Two reads, the outside searches, are not quite read-only, because they hold search allowance and save what they find, so the server tells the assistant to ask first.
Seats with the viewer role cannot connect an app, and a connection made by someone who later leaves the workspace stops working on its next call.
Trial, limits and audit
The 30-day Pro trial includes the connector, with no card. If a trial ends without a plan, reads keep working and writes are refused with a message pointing to billing, the same as the app. A workspace paused for billing stops reads as well, after any grace period.
Each workspace gets 120 MCP requests a minute by default. Past that the server answers 429 with a Retry-After header. Every tool call is written to the audit log marked as coming from MCP, and counts as that person being active in the assistant. What the tools change shows up where a person would see it: stage moves and notes on the record's activity, tasks on the Tasks page, sequences as drafts on the Outreach page. Settings shows when a connection was last used.

Common questions
- How many tools does the Vayora MCP server have?
- 54: 35 read tools and 19 write tools, counted from the lists the server registers at start-up. The group pages below describe every one.
- Can Claude or ChatGPT send email from my Vayora account?
- Only one tool sends, start_outreach_sequence, and it is described to the assistant as a tool to run solely when you have told it to start that sequence. It sends from your own connected mailbox, and the first emails wait ten minutes so you can still stop them.
- Can an assistant delete my data?
- No documented tool deletes a candidate, client, role or deal. Clients and roles can be created but not changed, and the only permanent removal is rejecting one of Kit's post ideas.
- Does connecting an assistant cost credits?
- No. Connecting and reading are free of credits. Only the contact lookups spend enrichment credits, charged when something is found, and the two outside searches draw on a monthly search allowance. Each tool page states which.
- Which assistants can connect?
- Claude and ChatGPT connect with a Vayora sign-in from Settings, Connected apps. Cursor and other assistants that speak MCP can use the same sign-in, and Claude Code connects with an API token from the same screen.
The developers page covers API keys and signed webhooks, and integrations lists everything else Vayora connects to. If you are weighing where the records should live, read ATS or CRM for a recruitment agency. To try the connector on your own book, start a free trial.
