Vayora MCP tools for outreach and content
Draft one email or build a whole outreach sequence as a draft for review, start it only when told to, and work with Kit's LinkedIn post ideas and drafts in the Content calendar.
Written by the Vayora team. Updated 29 October 2026.
The tools
8 tools: 3 read and 5 write. A read tool works on a connection made read-only. A write tool needs the person to have ticked Allow changes when they connected.
draft_outreach_emailDraft one personalised email to a candidate for a role. Not sent.
Takes: candidate_id, requisition_id, step_number=1 (1 first email, 2 follow-up, 3 final nudge)
Returns: A task id, subject, HTML body and step number. Saved as a pending task for the recruiter to review and send.
Credits: None
create_outreach_sequenceBuild a real sequence as a draft with candidates enrolled and held. Nothing is sent.
Takes: candidate_ids (up to 50), requisition_id, brief, steps, step_count=3 (1 to 5), name
Returns: The sequence id, name, status draft, a review link, the steps, who is enrolled and who was skipped with the reason.
Credits: None
start_outreach_sequenceActivate a draft sequence so its emails begin to send, from the recruiter's own mailbox.
Takes: sequence_id
Returns: Status active, the number of people, the time of the first send, a review link and a note.
Credits: None
Sends email. Only on the recruiter's explicit instruction. First emails wait ten minutes.
list_my_contentThe caller's own LinkedIn posts: ideas waiting, ready to schedule and scheduled.
Takes: days_ahead=14
Returns: Up to three of Kit's ideas, approved posts and scheduled posts, each with a link to open it in Vayora.
Credits: None
list_content_postsThe caller's posts that land in a date window, past or future.
Takes: start, end, status=None (scheduled or posted); up to 45 days
Returns: Scheduled posts by their time and posted ones by when they were posted.
Credits: None
get_content_postOne of the caller's own posts by id, whatever its status.
Takes: post_id
Returns: The post, whether an idea, ready, scheduled, posted or declined. A colleague's post reads as not found.
Credits: None
draft_content_postHave Kit draft a LinkedIn post for the caller's profile and add it to their calendar.
Takes: topic, instruction=None
Returns: The drafted post and a link to schedule it. Nothing is posted.
Credits: None
review_content_ideaUse or reject one of Kit's waiting post ideas.
Takes: post_id, decision (use or reject)
Returns: The idea's new state. Using makes it ready to schedule; rejecting removes it for good.
Credits: None
Rejecting is permanent, so hosts are told it changes data.
Nothing sends until a person says so
draft_outreach_email writes one personalised email to a candidate for a role and saves it as a pending task on the recruiter's queue. It is not sent. For anything beyond a single email the right tool is create_outreach_sequence, which builds a real sequence in Vayora as a draft with the chosen candidates enrolled and held. The copy comes from one of three places: a saved role and its client, a plain-English brief, or finished steps the assistant wrote earlier in the chat, using a first_name placeholder that Vayora fills per person at send time. Candidates who have opted out of email or have no address are left off and listed as skipped.
start_outreach_sequence is the only tool that makes email leave. Its description tells the model to call it only when the recruiter has explicitly said, in that conversation, to start this sequence, and to confirm the name, the number of people and the timing first. It refuses a sequence with no steps or nobody on it, one created by a colleague, a recruiter with no connected Gmail or Outlook, and a client campaign aimed at a client labelled do not contact. The first emails wait ten minutes, and the sequence can be paused from the Outreach page before anything goes.
Content stays in the caller's own calendar
The content tools work on the caller's own LinkedIn posts and nobody else's. draft_content_post asks Kit to write a post in the recruiter's voice from the agency's anonymised figures, never naming a client or a candidate and never mentioning fees, and puts it in the Content calendar ready to schedule. Nothing is posted, and nothing goes into their diary. The recruiter schedules it in Vayora from the link returned. list_my_content shows ideas waiting, posts ready to schedule and posts scheduled ahead, and list_content_posts reads any window of up to 45 days, past or future.
What to ask
These are the kind of messages a recruiter types into Claude or ChatGPT once Vayora is connected. The assistant chooses the tools itself.
- Draft a three-step sequence to the five best matches for the Head of Finance role. Do not start it.
- Write a short first email to Priya Shah about the Financial Controller role.
- Start the Head of Finance sequence. I have read it and I am happy with who it goes to.
- Draft a LinkedIn post about how long finance hires take in the North West, shorter than usual.
Common questions
- Can the assistant send email on its own?
- Only start_outreach_sequence sends, and the server describes it to the model as a tool to run solely on the recruiter's explicit instruction in that conversation. Everything else drafts. The first emails wait ten minutes and the sequence can be paused from the Outreach page first.
- Whose mailbox do sequences send from?
- The recruiter's own. A sequence refuses to start if the recruiter has no Gmail or Outlook connected in Vayora, or if the sequence was created by a colleague, since it would send from their mailbox.
- Will a sequence email someone who opted out?
- No. People who have opted out of email or have no address are left off when the sequence is created and listed as skipped, and people on the do not email list are never emailed.
- Can it see a colleague's LinkedIn posts?
- No. The content tools only read and write the connected user's own posts. A colleague's post, or an id that does not exist, reads as not found.
Every tool acts as the person who connected it, inside their own workspace. The MCP overview covers connecting, the read and write split and limits. The developers page has the API and webhooks, integrations lists the rest of what Vayora connects to, and ATS or CRM for a recruitment agency explains why the records sit in one place.
