Where Spott is strong

  • AI built into the core rather than bolted on: semantic search and explainable matching across notes, calls and emails, a note taker and a unified inbox, all in the plan price.
  • A migration programme the vendor runs end to end, with a stated four-week timeline, and a product cadence reviewers notice.
  • Hosted in the EU, ISO 27001 certified, GBP pricing published, and a growing list of UK customers.

Where we are built differently

  • Spott says in its own words that it does not run timesheets or payroll, and its back-office integrations are still coming. Our contract desk runs timesheet to self-bill to invoice to paid.
  • The headline price needs a year's commitment, and it starts higher: £109 a user a month annually against our £65 for Core, with our Pro at £129 monthly or £109 annually.
  • Spott is a workspace for a global roster, from perm to executive search across three continents. We are built around the one thing those agencies all have, the database they already own, and around UK perm and contract desks in particular.

AI-native or bolted on

Where the AI sits

Genuinely AI-native, like us: semantic search, explainable matches, a note taker and a unified inbox in the plan price. The differences are the desk and the money. Spott stops at the placement and says so; Kit carries on to the self-bill and the client invoice, ranks the database you already own first, and opens the day with a brief of what needs you.

When Spott is the right choice

If you are a perm or executive search agency that wants a well-funded AI-native workspace with a vendor-run migration and does not need pay and bill. Spott does that job well.

What Spott users say they would change

From public reviews and Spott’s own stated scope, sourced below.

  • No native timesheets, pay and bill, invoicing or payroll; the temp back-office integrations are 'coming soon'.
  • Integrations: reviewers' most consistent complaint is that 'as a newer company' Spott had few at first; no Zapier.
  • Short track record and a thin review base: founded 2024, 11 G2 reviews and 2 on Capterra; the Enterprise tier is quoted only.
